Public Art as Social Protest

"Until Lions write their own history, the tale of the hunt will always glorify the hunter'' by Ourstorian
Diego Rivera an artist who was a force of nature painted a mural called "frozen Assets" represented the patron’s power over the non-wealthy and the direct contradictions the government sets for its self. Rivera's mural allocated facts about how divided the system was with his painting specifying towards the era of, John D. Rockefeller Jr. His picture gave an example of injustice, depression, secrecy, betrayal done by the government. The occupy movement today shows the force of the nation’s retaliation. The unity of people felt that their voice, were not being considered, because of the injustice laws of the government. It is sad to see that the people have to block freeways, walk miles to different states, and protest within the cities to indicate that what they have to say should be an obligation by the government. The people’s right for freedom of speech is being over ruled by the government, which can lead to proving how the government sets its self-up for direct contradictions. In result is the occupy movement, the police is enforced, and is beating the people with patrons, spraying them down with gas and incarcerating them. It has come down too these types of riots happening on college campus. There is a saying that we are the 99% that is being controlled by the 1%. We,  being under government laws paying taxes, the money that we work hard making, the government ends up taking it away from our paychecks.

Money is my inspiration

My inspiration is money for the reason that it builds honesty and shows the different characteristics of humans in one setting. With out a buck in your pocket a person would be considered homeless and unwanted, a distraction to society. My experience has been a struggle to come up with just a buck. The way I went about making it was what people saw and judged me by. When I don't have money I would do just about anything within my morals to get some money. If that means working two jobs, maintaning a b average in school and doing extra task like hair on the side, then that's what I will do. When I start making the money the wrost feeling is when I start to relax, feeling like i dnt have to work as hard any more because I have money. As soon as I start to relax I see the money slipping out of my hand and taking me back to where I was before when  didn't have any money. Thats when I start learning about  the values of discipline and consistency. I already  have a hard time with managing my own money, its takes trust in someone else knowledge to help me maintain my money coming in, not loosing any money and also the wise way to spend money. By me putting my trust out there I could get played by some one who is dishonest that wants to steal my money. They have all my finance information and could mis lead me into thinking I have less money then I really do because they are taking. I would believe them because I trusted them. Money i believe also brings out the better judgement in people.

A wise man should have money in his head, but not in his heart.
Jonathan Swift
After a certain point, money is meaningless. It ceases to be the goal. The game is what counts.
