Holidays!
During the first weekend of the winter break I had to work. On Christmas eve I went over to my aunts house and hung out with the family. Me and one of my male cousins shared stories about what we planed to do different for the next year and watched football. My aunt taught me how to make gumbo and she made me clean the crab and chicken that was being used for the gumbo. It maybe my uncles last Christmas, due to lung cancer so i'm making sure I spend as much time with him as possible. You never know what the new year is going to bring, just to be sure i'm making an effort to just be present for him. On Christmas day, even though I didn't go to my parents house, they passed by my aunts house as well as my other aunts and cousins. That saved me a trip from going around the bay area to see them and give them their presents. I was happy when they came over, I received a life lecture from my aunt Wanda while she was intoxicated and had a chance to be filled in on her life history. My favorite present was receiving gift cards, can't ask for anything better. I also had the time this year to visit my old foster mom, who was ecstatic to see me as well as her family, whom I haven't seen in years. I'm understanding the goodness in myself and how I effect others in a positive way, even with out having to be in a position to give material things that bring happiness.

Internship Readiness
Some one who is internship ready, in their evaluation has more positives then negatives. Some one who has the confidence in knowing they can conquer all task independently as well as group tasks. I plan to demonstrate more confidence in the way I communicate and do presentations. I plan to be more assertive with follow ups, such as returning emails and calls. I also plan to work fully on my time management and priorities, prioritizing the most important first and less important last. Also I need to manage making to little things, like energy vibe, consistency, preparation, going to sleep at a set time, doing all my work the night before including taking a shower and setting my clothes for the next day. Following through with my teachers about a homework assignment the day before it is due. Making my time fully available so I can achieve and improve, both in my academical and extra curricular activities.

Best and the worst job
- My best job was working at villa Marin. My primary responsibility was to coordinate the dinning room and serve food. I would come in get my time card and clock in. Then I would go look on our daily to do list and see what tasks needed to be done for that day. I would have to remember what appropriate side needed to be served and the side that needs to be busted. Also I learned the formal way of placing the different types of spoons, forks and knifes following glasses on the table. I loved working with all my staff members and my managers. We all had a connection, ended up that the mainstream of people that work there went to my high school. The way my manager manages the kitchen and dinning room section gave me a chance to grow and the time to reciprocate what I had learned. For internship this taught me time management, patience, respect for different social culture, and lastly how to work a part of a team. This also was my worst job because I was always late, talked with the residence and staff more than I served. For the residents that gave me a hard time I would mess up their orders on purpose. It was a constant mess, and food stayed staining my clothes. The lessons I learned was how dependent my job was on me during my shift. Also that my time management needed to be evaluated.

Public Art as Social Protest
"Until Lions write their own history, the tale of the hunt will always glorify the hunter'' by Ourstorian
Diego Rivera an artist who was a force of nature painted a mural called "frozen Assets" represented the patron’s power over the non-wealthy and the direct contradictions the government sets for its self. Rivera's mural allocated facts about how divided the system was with his painting specifying towards the era of, John D. Rockefeller Jr. His picture gave an example of injustice, depression, secrecy, betrayal done by the government. The occupy movement today shows the force of the nation’s retaliation. The unity of people felt that their voice, were not being considered, because of the injustice laws of the government. It is sad to see that the people have to block freeways, walk miles to different states, and protest within the cities to indicate that what they have to say should be an obligation by the government. The people’s right for freedom of speech is being over ruled by the government, which can lead to proving how the government sets its self-up for direct contradictions. In result is the occupy movement, the police is enforced, and is beating the people with patrons, spraying them down with gas and incarcerating them. It has come down too these types of riots happening on college campus. There is a saying that we are the 99% that is being controlled by the 1%. We, being under government laws paying taxes, the money that we work hard making, the government ends up taking it away from our paychecks.

Money is my inspiration
My inspiration is money for the reason that it builds honesty and shows the different characteristics of humans in one setting. With out a buck in your pocket a person would be considered homeless and unwanted, a distraction to society. My experience has been a struggle to come up with just a buck. The way I went about making it was what people saw and judged me by. When I don't have money I would do just about anything within my morals to get some money. If that means working two jobs, maintaning a b average in school and doing extra task like hair on the side, then that's what I will do. When I start making the money the wrost feeling is when I start to relax, feeling like i dnt have to work as hard any more because I have money. As soon as I start to relax I see the money slipping out of my hand and taking me back to where I was before when didn't have any money. Thats when I start learning about the values of discipline and consistency. I already have a hard time with managing my own money, its takes trust in someone else knowledge to help me maintain my money coming in, not loosing any money and also the wise way to spend money. By me putting my trust out there I could get played by some one who is dishonest that wants to steal my money. They have all my finance information and could mis lead me into thinking I have less money then I really do because they are taking. I would believe them because I trusted them. Money i believe also brings out the better judgement in people.
A wise man should have money in his head, but not in his heart.
Jonathan Swift
After a certain point, money is meaningless. It ceases to be the goal. The game is what counts.

Free Write
My C.E.O, corporate boss, boss, supervisor, managers, managers in training, co workers, and customers make my community. How i interact with them depends on if i'm at work or hanging out outside of work. With my C.E.O and corporate boss i am always professional no matter the circumstance that's our relationship. The rest, like my supervisor, managers and co-workers we have a friendly almost family bond where we support each others needs through out the work place and beyond professional we have personal ties. We look out for each other when we have rude customers come into the store. As a cashier i am responsible for the whole front area also to be the first welcoming face that interacts with them. There no specific sign up list to join the store. It is open to the public. Big 5 sporting goods is a family owned store by all men with the name of Dan a coincident that just happened. The store needs workers so those who want to work apply, get interviewed if qualified for the job description they get hired. Once you apply you work to keep your current position.

Revision
Some things I learned in module 1 as a professional student was that there are different ways to present my self. There was a name for switching from being professional to home bound and that was code switching. I presented my self everyday with the attitude that i was ready to learn also ready to look good both in my studies and my looks. I failed my self by being late all the time and by not having my assignments turned in with high accuracy. The only thing I'm proud of is the fact that I'm still at the year up site even after all my mess ups. My grades were on top of it because I did take the time to study and work on my academics. I need to adjust the way my behavior is, the way I present, and also the way I write. My time managing skills and leadership skills is what i need to put more work in to recreate my strengths.
